This earthy, yet elegant ring features a stone found on the shores of the Knife River that flows into Lake Superior. It has a smooth, yet slightly uneven surface and its deep grey/black color has flecks of material that reflect catch and reflect the light. It is complimented perfectly by a small, offset diamond set in solid 14k gold for a pop of elegance to contrast the earthiness of the river stone. The silver band has been textured to look like bark and measures ~5 mm wide. 

The Knife River's name is an accurate preservation of its native Ojibwe name, Mookomani-Ziibi. Its original name was probably given on account of the long, sharp stones near the mouth of the river.

I create powerful, unique, and sacred adornment crafted from Earth's finest gifts. All of my jewelry is hand-made and hand-finished, from natural and often recycled or repurposed materials. I try to use every bit of metal on my bench and not let anything go to waste.
