This organically beautiful ring features a unique Dendritic Agate set in a simple sterling silver setting so as not to distract from the subtle beauty of the stone. It is placed on a sterling silver wrap band, made from a single piece of half-found wire wrapped around three times and soldered in place to the base plate of the stone setting.
The band measures ~7 mm at its widest point and has a hammered bark-like lined texture.

This ring features a rare form of dendritic agate, also called Shazar stone, that is found exclusively in the Ken River in the Banda district of India. It is characterized by its organic inclusions that paint images of breathtaking natural landscapes. The name Shazar comes from the Arabic word “Sazar”, meaning tree. The fascinating inclusions are formed when two or more chalcedony stones trap a piece of fossilized fungus, and the fungus produces an acid or base secretion that causes the agate to become translucent and simultaneously bind it all together. Different colors may appear in Shazar stone, such as black and orange-red, and are caused by inclusions of iron and manganese. Some refer to Shazar stone as the Stone of Plentitude and believe it brings abundance and richness in all areas of life.
